Communications agency for art The Clark
As the communications agency for art The Clark, at Bacana we supported The Clark for several years in its relationship with the Spanish media. Our starting point was always clear: to tell the museum’s story in a human way, without hollow jargon. As a result, we helped its collection and its message reach both the press specialised in art and culture and the general media. In fact, that closeness is what makes a museum in Williamstown feel near and desirable to audiences in Madrid or Barcelona. Moreover, every conversation with journalists pursued the same goal: emotion and rigour in equal measure.
Much of that bond grew around its exhibitions in Spain. For example, we handled the communication of “Pasión por Renoir”, the painter’s first monographic show at the Museo del Prado. Likewise, the collection entered into dialogue at the Museu Picasso in Barcelona with “Picasso Looks at Degas”, and later travelled to CaixaForum Barcelona with “Impressionists. French Masters from the Clark Collection”. Meanwhile, our task was to turn each event into genuine cultural news.
Beyond the press, we designed events and experiences worthy of every opening. We gathered collectors and leading figures from the art world; in addition, we organised a press trip to the museum when its new building, designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, first opened. For this reason, each gathering felt like an occasion rather than a mere formality. Consequently, the museum strengthened its prestige among key audiences and secured its place within the cultural conversation in our country.
In short, as the communications agency for art The Clark, at Bacana we turn a passion for art into public relations built on purpose, closeness and authenticity. Although the museum stands thousands of kilometres away, its story deserved to be told here with the same sensitivity one brings to a Renoir. Therefore, we keep doing exactly that: bridging Williamstown and the Spanish public, one exhibition and one story at a time.
